At CaseWare, we know how important it is to give back to our local community. That’s why we encourage our staff to take part in as many fundraising events as possible. 2018 has been another successful fundraising year for our 2 chosen local charities; Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance and Maidstone Churches Winter Shelter. The fundraising kicked off with some staff charity sweepstakes for the Grand National and World Cup Goals.

Charity Football – CaseWare Cup
This year saw CaseWare’s fifth annual football tournament, where Kent’s accountancy firms took part to win the CaseWare Cup and of course raise money for our two chosen charities. This year saw Magee Gammon taking home the bronze medal, leaving Chavereys and Sargeant Partnership to go head to head in the final. The final finished in a draw meaning it went to a nail-biting penalty shootout with Chavereys winning the cup, 4-3. Just like the previous four tournaments, it was a huge success, with everyone raising an amazing £1373.

Movember
As well as fundraising for our two chosen charities, we love getting involved with supporting our colleagues when they fundraise for something personal to them. That’s why we are supporting our colleague in the Technical Support Team, Seb King with his fundraising efforts for Movember. Movember has always meant a lot to Seb, but it is even more poignant this year after a family diagnosis 2 years ago. Fortunately Seb’s father made a full recovery, but unfortunately others aren’t as lucky. Seb’s Movember page, along with pictures of his progress and fundraising link can be found here.

Christmas Sacks for the Snow Leopard Ward
This year we are supporting the Snow Leopard Ward at Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospital in London. This ward does some fantastic work and is set up for children who have long term ventilation needs and who are not yet strong enough to go home. We decided to give something back to this ward after they provided the son of one of our employees fantastic care for over a year. Our teams have been putting sacks together for the children, parents and nurses at the Snow Leopard Ward to make their Christmas a little bit more merry!

Maidstone Churches Winter Shelter
As one of our chosen charities, we have recognised that Maidstone Churches Winter Shelter are in need of more than just funding. That is why at CaseWare, we have been collecting food and toiletries for the shelter and are recruiting volunteers to work at the shelter in the upcoming months.
CaseWare will continue their fundraising efforts into 2019 and beyond and are grateful to all their staff for the generous donations made so far.
