We know that fundraising for charities is often a very personal experience, so every year we give all of our staff the option to nominate and vote for our charity of the year. We are extremely pleased to announce that throughout 2021 our fundraising efforts will be held to raise money for both Mind and Cancer Research UK.
We supported Mind in 2020 and are pleased that this charity has been voted for again, after such an unprecedented year which has left many struggling with their mental health. We have always been firm believers that good mental health is just as important as good physical health and this is a charity that means a great deal to a lot of our colleagues.
Mind provide support and advice to anyone who is experiencing a mental health problem, as well as campaigning to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. Thanks to Mind, millions of people have access to advice and support that they may not otherwise receive, and because they are a charity, they can only continue their great work with donations.
Cancer Research UK is a new charity for our staff to support and we are happy that we can raise some well needed funds for a cause that affects so many people on a regular basis. Fundraising efforts have slowed down significantly due to Covid-19 and we are looking forward to raising some much needed funds for the charity. Not only do Cancer Research UK fund scientists, doctors and nurses to help beat cancer sooner, they also provide vital cancer information to the public.
