Congratulations to our Sales Development Representative, Jack Brivio, who captained Horsham FC of the 7th Tier to the first round of the prestigious FA Cup where they will face Carlisle United of League 2 after beating Woking FC 1-0 in the previous tie. The FA Cup is an annual knockout football competition in domestic English football.
Jack has worked at CaseWare UK for over four years in our Sales Team and is responsible for developing new business for our desktop and cloud solutions to the practice market.
How long have you been playing semi-professional football and how do you find balancing it with your day job here at CaseWare?
I have been playing football since I was five years old but semipro since I was 18 years old, with a short break while I was at university in Leeds. I have been at Horsham for the last four seasons, captaining and gaining promotion to the Isthmian Premier League, where we currently play. I am fortunate enough that CaseWare allows me to balance my passion for football with my day to day work life and have always been supportive of this.
How has the FA Cup campaign been for you so far?
From being a team lower in the football pyramids, we started in the first qualifying round and have won four challenging fixtures, including Woking FC of the National League, to reach the first round. We have had some tough fixtures in the four qualifying rounds, but we’ve managed to put in some great performances and cause a couple of FA Cup upsets along the way.
Finally, how do you fancy your chances against EFL League Two professionals, Carlisle?
It is going to be a difficult game against professional opposition, and we are going to be massive underdogs, but with the FA Cup, there is always a chance to cause an upset. We will be going there with full confidence and to enjoy ourselves.
Everyone here at CaseWare UK wants to show their support to Jack and Horsham FC and hope they manage to get to the next round.
